At Ionis, our postdoctoral researchers work with world-class scientists and our academic collaborators to discover and develop new RNA-targeted therapeutics. Our scientists consistently publish in prestigious peer-reviewed journals, participate in key scientific meetings in many different areas of biomedical research, oligonucleotide chemistry, and drug development.
A postdoctoral fellowship at Ionis is a temporary assignment that typically lasts two years, with the potential for a third-year extension. During this time, fellows gain valuable research experience while contributing to cutting-edge science in a research-focused and resource-rich environment advancing antisense drug development technologies. Upon completion of the fellowship, postdocs are encouraged to apply for open positions at Ionis that match their skills and experience, though participation in the program does not guarantee a regular position.
